Oracle Leads Data Warehouse Management Segment with Nearly 41% Market Share Oracle has been named the leader in the data warehouse management category by the analyst firm IDC who found that Oracle had nearly 41 percent (40.9 percent) market share and close to $1.8 billion in revenues for 2006. IDC's report, "Worldwide Data Warehouse Platform Tools 2006 Vendor Shares," also notes that Oracle was the leading data warehouse platform tools vendor based on 2006 software.
Oracle extended its lead in this market with nearly 33% market share and almost $1.87 billion in software revenue. In addition, Oracle's data warehouse platform tools software revenue grew at 13.1% — faster than the overall category growth rate of 12.5%.
