InfoWorld: "Incomparable" Oracle Database 11g is the hands-down winner

InfoWorld has chosen Oracle Database 11g as the top database for 2009 in its recently published 2009 Technology of the Year Awards. According to Doug Dineley, executive editor of the InfoWorld Test Center, "our prize for Best Database went to the incomparable Oracle Database 11g, a titanic release with capabilities-namely Real Application Testing and Active Data Guard-that DBAs previously could only dream about."

Hands Down Winner
The report noted that Oracle Database 11g is richer in features and more configurable than SQL Server, giving skilled DBAs more powerful capabilities. "Among the top new features in the gigantic 11g release," said the report, "are the killer combination of Active Data Guard and Real Application Testing make Oracle Database our hands-down winner."
