Oracle today announced that it has integrated its value chain planning (VCP) apps into its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software through a Process Integration Pack (PIP). The upgrade is targeted at three verticals -- manufacturing, high technology, and retail goods distribution, an Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) representative said in an e-mail to InternetNews.com.
"Oracle Value Chain Planning offers a complete, integrated and modular solution that spans operational to strategic planning across all time horizons of the planning cycle," said Lenley Hensarling, Oracle Group Vice President and General Manager, Oracle's JD Edwards and Applications Unlimited. "The Oracle AIA-based integration enables our customers to better sense demand, shape for profitability and quickly respond to supply chain events. They can now achieve best-in-class processes such as sales and operations planning, supply chain risk management and integrated supply planning and scheduling, all supported through comprehensive performance management and monitoring."
